I would like to thank the ftape community for a product that has served me well for years. This is just a symptom note, for a FAQ or others. I started a "tob" backup and when I came back the disk light was pulsing but, apparently, the tape was not moving. I tried a new tape and removing/inserting tapes. The system would not report status or rewind. It would "retension" but end up in the same pulsing state. I cleaned the inside of the tape cavity with alcohol and then blew it out with air. Seems to work fine now. Again thanks for those who have made this program possible. Ray
