Hello,
two points:
1st: ftape 4.02 doesn't work correctly under kernel 2.2.x, so you have to
upgrade to these "unstable" versions (which are in fact quite stable).
You can find them under
http://www.math1.rwth-aachen.de/~heine/ftape/archives/ftape-4.x/unstable/
(hoping this hasn't changed in the last few days...)
2nd:
aten.ver must be derived from aten.c. This file can be found in
/usr/src/linux-2.2.7/drivers/block/paride/aten.c
Of course you have to check the correct location in your own system.
(and the kernel version)
After this you can do the following:
cd /usr/src/linux-2.2.7/drivers/block/paride/
gcc -E aten.c | genksyms -k 2.2.7 > /usr/src/linux-2.2.7/include/linux/modules/aten.ver
Again you have to check the correct location stated after that redirector ">",
but this should be no problem, because the error messages during the
compilation of ftape should have spate out right this exact location.
Cheers, Juergen.
