You asked for log entries and error messages.
I sent that stuff, but you may have missed it in that HUGE thread.
I discovered something interesting two days ago.
If I perform an operation on the drive with mt first, then I can write, read,
and use ftmt on it from there on out.
Well, sometimes it still hangs, but I successfully wrote an archive to it
yesterday.
Does that mean that ftmt possibly is doing something wrong when it first
attempts to access the tape drive?
As I said, mt will give me the wrong info about the tape, but after I stat it
with mt, ftmt works.
Tar works also.
I am yet to get xbru to successfully write to the tape yet, but it does
recognize it after using mt.
If you need more logs or readouts, please let me know.
