I never got my ftape v4.02 08/29/98 to work properly with my �teak 400/800
floppy tapedrive'.
It would not append archives.
It would not find filemarks like 'eom'.
I could do what I wanted like:
'ftmt - /dev/nqft0 fsf1'
or
'/dev/nqft0 eom' etc, etc.
I tried everything
consulted the mailbox again and again.
Claus-Justus Heine asked for a 'var/log/messages'.
-Never heard anything from him.
I was so frustrated with Ftape that I gave up.
Now here is my Question.
Is there a hope that some newer ftape version will behave differently?
I got pretty frustrated with ftape
my tapedrive works flawless with win95
Shall I make a new try?
