Hi All,
Well I am in a bit of a quandry, I upgraded to RedHat6.0.
I loaded up the 0630 version of ftape and the thing 'seemed'
to work. However upon writing one image to the tape, things
went quickly awry. I have now (I think) destroyed at least
one tape, and perhaps another. I have tried to use the ftformat
to no avail. When using mode=auto it is completely hosed. I
also tried using the Ditto tools in Windows, and it just shoeshines
a while then explodes.
Does anyone have the format parameters for this drive? I'd
like to try to format this tape to see if it is the drive or
the tape. Also does anyone have this drive working on RH6.0?
It worked great under 5.1, in fact quite honestly I am a little
sorry I upgraded this particular machine.
