Output of status incomplete?

Issueing the status command gives the following output:

drive status = 2283621
sense key error = 6943
residue count = 0
file number = 0
block number = 0
gstat = 41000000

At the bottom there is no information of MTIOCVOLINFO and of MTIOCGETSIZE.
In addition I am puzzled by the sense key error code, which is not equal
to zero. Is this an indication my ftape is not properly working?
