Well kinda. I finally got my ditto dash card and installed it. I had to
tweak the IRQ jumper and the "insert" script and I was able to
successfully access the drive. When I did a format, I got the following:

[root@bailey mail]# ftformat -f /dev/nrawqft0
--format-parameters
qic-standard=0x83,format-code=4,floppy-head-max=54,floppy-track-max=254,segments-per-track=1110,tracks-per-tape=50,gap3=248
Reading old header segment ... done.
Erasing track 0Tape drive error sending physical forward command: 15
(Command Illegal or Undefined in Format Mode)

Please ignore the error message printed above!Ioctl error sending format
parameters: Invalid argument

The above output message has two error messages but it only talks about
ignoring one. Is there anything wrong here?

Here's the output from /var/log/messages:

Sep 30 21:21:28 bailey kernel: [060] 0 zftape-ctl.c (mtiocftcmd) -
driver needs to be in raw mode for this ioctl.

What does that mean???
