Hi!
I have some strange probs with the HP Colorado streamer. I'm trying it with
ftape 4.x-1999_09_11 (the latest Version?).
Here's the complete story:
I tried it first on an old P133 with Kernel V2.2.5. I used the Modules shipped
with the kernel - worked fine!
The second one I installed in an K6-450. There it only worked SOMETIMES, eg.
when typing mt -f /dev/qft0 status it takes a while and then:
device not configured
After several tries it worked, but writing to tape results to input output
error. Ok. Then on an other P133. Everytime i tried to use the stremer
i got device not configured - nothing helped. Not i got the new unstable
version and compiled it. I tried an ftmt -f /dev/qft0 erase. It takes now 10
minutes thousands of log-entries like drive_status 0x24 and Location not known
And resulted in Error: segment 1 unreachable.
