Hello All,

I have a few 120m tapes that were originally DDS-2 format, 4 gig
tapes. They were re-initialized in Win98 on a DDS drive and now
Linux reports them to be DDS tapes. I tried to re-initialize them by
issuing the command "mt -f /dev/st0 setdensity 0x24". This
executed without complaint, but mt still reports the tape to have
DDS density.

Does anyone know how I can reinitialize these tapes so mt
recognizes them as DDS-2? (The version of mt I am using is mt-st
v.04)

Thanks,
Tim Reed
