I cannot get ftape 4.02 (fresh download) to compile (Redhat 6.0,
kernel 2.2.5-15). I get an error on fdc-io.c, line 433, and line 454:
Structure has no member named 'timeout'
This is in reference to "current", which I cannot find defined anywhere
(only used).
Also, the documentation mentions that ftape 4 has write error
recovery, but doesn't explain this in any more depth -- does it
do what I think/hope, and mark the failed block as bad in the
bad block map, and write a fresh copy? (If so, then my bad tapes
are usable again.)
Please CC me directly, I do not subscribe to the list.
