2.2.x kernel modules

I'm using ftape 4.x-1999_09_11 and I got it to install properly and work as
per the instructions on the www.linuxtapecert.org page. The only problem is
that after a reboot, the drive is not recogonized and i must run the
/usr/src/ftape-4.x-199_09_11/modules/insert script. This script i assume
loads the proper modules.

How do i get the modules to insert them selves at boot up?
