Travan tapes are a kind of QIC tapes, and I believe the Ditto
Max (Pro) uses QIC (Quarter Inch Cartridges) of the Travan type.
I believe most, if not all DAT tapes are SCSI or IDE based,
You want a non-floppy tape. IDE and SCSI are efficient for
much higher data rates than floppy controllers, so looking
in that direction would certainly a solution.
