tob: "Officially" unmaintained by the author, but still used. I maintain the
Debian package for tob, ie apply the odd patch that finds my way. I
have been meaning for a long time to clean those up, freshen the
documentation and provide a tar.gz. One day....
afio: Still maintained by its author. I also maintain this one for Debian.
Together, they make a very fine backup combo as tob is so flexible. As my
(two) floppy tapes died, I am now backing up into afio archives which then
get copied or rsync'ed to sibbling machines.
