Helo again!
First I want to thank Bob Nielsen, Tim Jones and A.E.Lawrence for
answering my first "cry" for help under the subject "Can't compile
ftape-4.x under Linux 6.1". I got good advice, got the right versions of
the programs and compiled them without problems. All drivers can be
loaded, but they (and I!) can't find the M.S.Backpack 800T - tapedrive.
I get the following message in my logfile:

I found 2 other similar questions in the Linux Tape List : #1013.html
"M.S.Backpack probing fail" and #0186.html "ftape w/bck-fdc driver
(Ditto Tape)" , but I can not locate any answer to them. I hope to get
help once more!
Friendly yours
