Hi,

I try to use an internal ide tape (seagate STT20000A) (view by xcdroast
in /dev/hda).

My linux version is Mandrake 6.0
 - ftape v3.04d 25/11/97
 - Kernel 2.2.9

I find nothing about how to configure ftape to use ide tape (perhaps is
impossible ?)
I see something about QIC compatibility in seegate web site...

I try this option line (in conf.modules)
options ftape ft_fdc_base=0x1f0 ft_fdc_irq=14
(base and irq of ide0)

When I lauch ftape-tool -> status, I get :

ftmt: /dev/nqft0: Device not configured

(I see the little light in floppy disk but not in the tape :-)

As you see, I'm not a hacker, so be simple (if possible).

Thanks you.
