I can't seem to configure the ftape-doc package. I followed the docs and
ran:

        '. configure'

and everything seems to go fine until the message:

        'checking for sgmlcheck... no'

appears. Nothing appears after this and Linux just sits there. Pressing
Ctrl-C breaks out and I quickly see the words 'error blah blah' before I am
returned to the logon prompt. Anybody any ideas?

Second question.
I installed the ftape package (tools and source) and everything has compiled
fine. I followed the examples for my setup from www.linuxtapecert.org and it
recommended I use '/dev/qft0'. When I tried to use this device I got:

        'ftmt: /dev/qft0: device not configured'

error. I know there are other devices (qft0, 1, 2 & 3), what is the
difference? It may tell me in the ftape-doc package, but as I can't compile
it I can't find out.]

My setup is as follows:

(Red Hat Linux 6.1) Linux kernel 2.2.12-20.
ftape 4.x_1999_09_11
Parallel Port Ditto 2Gb Tape Drive
gcc version 2.91.66
make version 3.77

Not sure what else maybe needed.

Any help is appreciated.
