I have been using ftape-4.03-pre? (09/11/1999) successfully with
Red Hat 6.1 and my Iomega DittoMax for some time now. I am happy
with my configuration of ftape parameters in conf.modules, MCONFIG
etc.
Since upgrading to Red Hat 6.2 and the context-switch fix kernel
2.2.14-6.0.1, I have been experiencing the following errors in use
of ftape-reliant applications:
/usr/bin/ftmt: /dev/nqft0: Input/output error
/usr/bin/ftmt: /dev/nqft0: Device not configured
I get the impression that ftape development is stagnant at present
(no official releases in a long time).
Is anyone actively maintaining ftape at this time?
