1. Which version of ftape are you running? If you're using the one
which came with a kernel, try upgrading to the latest (although I
believe that this is not required for the 3200, it may help if there
was a problem which has since been fixed).
2. Have you got the ftape module compiled?
3. Have you got the ftape module loaded? If you got to this stage,
show us the logging output found in /var/log/messages.
4. Otherwise, where is it failing?
