I think the kernel that Stefan is saying is not a pre-release, but just a
2.2.15 with release 15 (a rpm package).
BTW, I has compiled ftape and ftape-tools fine here since 2.2.5, with no
errors, but the kernel was always compiled by hand without the ftape
"native" modules.
