Hmm - I wonder why! Mine sure reads the data back fine, like I mentioned in
the initial message. Why then should it moan at verify...?

Hmm - well, I have a 400mHz celeron with 256 megs of RAM - same result!

See above - I think this is an "ignorable" error - I got some errors on
attempting a verify too but could read the data back in a "tar xvf" just
fine...
