I am running RedHat 6.1 (Kernel 2.2.14) on a machine with an Asus P5A-B
m/b, AMD K6-2/350 CPU and a Colorado 350 floppy tape drive using
Ftape-4.04. Eveything works well, except for the tape drive.
Here is a list of the format parameters that are passed to the command
line by Ftape_Tools-1.09
--mode=force --discard-header --format-parameters
qic-standard=0x02,format-code=2
floppy-head-max=6,floppy-track-max=149,segments-per-track=150,tracks-per-tape=28,
gap3=233,format-filler-byte=0x6b

Needless to say, the tape does not get formatted. There is nothing wrong
with the tape drive. It worked very nicely in a 486 machine with a very
generic m/b running RedHat 6.1 and Ftape-4.04. Anybody have any ideas
as to how I can get this tape drive to work in its new home?
