I applied the patch and tried again, but I still get an oops at
usb-ohci.c:867.  The only difference after applying the patch appears to
be that the two error lines in /var/log/messages (printer.c: usblp0:
nonzero read/write bulk status received: -110; and printer.c: usblp0:
failed reading printer status) are gone.

(After applying the patch, I just deleted printer.o by hand and did make
modules.  Then I copied the new printer.o to /lib/modules/2.4.4/...  It
didn't look like the dependencies would be very different.)
