Well, they used to work, but it´s a long time ago since I checked.

If everything is done correctly, kmixer should see exactly one input on the
webcam microphone audio-device.

In case you also have a soundcard, what are the device nodes?
I´ll try to check the audio part, I´ve got 4 different Philips cams to test
