USB Snoopy should work fine on any of the 9x platforms with WDM, i.e., 98
gold, 98 SE, and Me. It even works on Win2K if you know how to get it
installed...
The reason why it fails with some drivers, from my experience, is due to the
fact that drivers have bugs. They have never been tried in the context of
putting a filter inbetween them and USBD; when you do that, some things
might get uncovered which weren't obvious before. The main reason for that
is that what used to be TopOfStack isn't the PDO anymore. See details in the
Windows DDK if you are interested.
The only way out is patience, a hex editor and a disassembler to fix the
driver ;)
