I had a problem with a four port mini-hub and a dexxa mouse, which did not work when the hub was bus-powered.
OK, I've found the solution... I think it should be of interest to the list, getting archived (JE suggestion) I focused on the hub because it was an addition and it was new. As JE told me, a hub can output 500 mA. But a 4 port mini-hub, when it is bus-powered split this power between the ports, and each port can use up to 100 mA usually! (500 when self-powered...) And the dexxa mini mouse needed 100 mA. It was the problem. I've bought a logitech usb mini wheel mouse, which needs only 50 mA, and now, everything is perfect. So, laptop users, beware of the power needed by usb peripherals! Or you should have to power-plug your hub to use your peripherals! Hoping it can help someone else one day. -- Debian GNU/Linux powered machine _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
