Ok i got the IEEE1284 parallel adapter and insmod printer
Now I get a message saying
printer.c USB Birectional Printer=usblp
printer.c dev 5 ??????
now what do I do i´ve been trying to get this thing to work for a while
now. I just now thought about getting help.
-------------LAST MESSAGE-----------------
You may be able to get this to work using a USB<-->IEEE1284 adapter cable.
The list at:

   http://www.linux-usb.org/devices.html

shows four working USB<-->IEEE1284 parallel adapters.

I have a D-Link DSB-P36 adapter that I've used with an HP832 deskjet
printer,
using kernel 2.4.7 on x86 architecture:

Good luck!
