You know, I have so little interest in continuing this. I suggest you take a look at one of the many linux-usb archives and find the past couple of threads on the subject and do a little of research into how the reference counting differs between 2.4 and 2.5. You'll also read all of the original emails that resulted in the way the both of us feel as a bonus. I'll be off actually fixing this problem.
