Dear Dave, I am unable to obtain the oops with 2.5.24, with or
without your patch (I only got the oops once, and that was
with 2.5.22).  With or without your patch I still get the timeouts.
I haven't noticed any effect (good or bad) coming from your
patch in fact.  Except for a smaller kernel of course!
