I want to design a composite device with 2 interfaces a printer & a scanner. The device has Scanner permanently attached and a port to which any printer of any manufacturer can be connected. Now if I don't supply vendor ID/product ID in device for printer in device descriptor then does the USB host ask for the printer driver to be loaded? How will the device be seen on say windows machine? Is it possible to load 2 different drivers for printer & scanner? Thanks in advance for any help!
