I did try 2.4.20-pre11. After at least an hour of runtime no kernel panic did occure with five readers. So it seams the bug has been fixed from 2.4.19 to 2.4.20-pre11. I will test it on the weekend or next week with 20 devices. (Target is 50 devices.) When going from 1 to 5 readers the distribution of the runtime of single commands has increased noise and also the average execution time decreases(!) by 2%.
