Their documentation states that it is USB bus-powered, drawing a maximum of 100mA from the bus; yet the device can supply up to 200mA for 16 output pins. Add the power needed for the 'device' and other output pins to determine what the MaxPower should be. IMHO the best start is to obtain a specification for the device, detailing accessing the 8k memory, its microprocessor, and adjusting the information that the device did provide. Not having a specification can raise the difficulty of writing a driver by a substantial amount.
