Note that the device side needs compatible hardware and drivers for Linux, and also needs to implement some higher level specification (such as the mass storage specification). I don't think anyone has done mass storage for the device side on Linux yet.
Not that I know of, though if you get a net2280 card (PCI) you could start debugging such a driver very quickly.
I'd certainly like to see such a driver, though. It'd be good to hook it up with the RAID infrastructure on the Linux side, and implement deep request queues ...
