lists, kernel: linux 2.4.21 I met one severe problem when using usbnet. I unplugged the line made of PL2301, linux got to freeze. I tested it with linux 2.4.20. There was no such problem. Please help!
Then please provide more information. Like what host controller driver (uhci, usb-uhci, usb-ohci, etc) you used, was the network link "up" or "down", what kernel log messages came out, what do you mean by "freeze", and so on. The kind of information that is in FAQs on how to report bugs...
What happens when you experiment by changing some of those variables -- switching host controllers (or drivers), doing "ifconfig usb0 down", running wiht (or without) CONFIG_USB_DEBUG enabled, and so on?
