kernel: linux 2.4.21
usb host: usb-ohci
usbnet: PL2301 or GeneSys GL620USB-A(I test the both)
mainboard: winfast6300
scenerio:
  (1) plug host-to-host line
  (2) ifconfig usb0 up
  (3) ifconfig usb0 192.12.10.35
  (4) unplug the line
  (5) messages on the screen:
      usb-ohci.c SUB .......status:-100(...)
      usb-ohci.c RET .......status:-100(...)
      usbnet.c status: -100

  (6) machine freeze, means linux can't response any
interrupt. The keyboard is dead, ethernet is dead , I
must cold boot the machine again.

But under linux 2.4.20 running on the same hardware,
there is no such problem.

who know and test as above.

  thanks
