I have a new device that I am going to be writing a driver for. The device supposedly works fine as there are windows drivers for it.
I get the following in my syslog with CONFIG_USB_DEBUG turned on: Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 100, change 0, 12 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 2, portstatus 100, change 0, 12 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 3, portstatus 100, change 0, 12 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4 connection change Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:58 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernelhub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 4 disabled : hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: ehci-hcd 02:04.2: GetStatus port 4 status 001803T Jul 18 12:42:59 arctic kernel: hub.c: port 4, portstatus 501, change 1, 480 Mb/s Which just continues on until the device is unplugged. Nothing appears in /proc/bus/usb/devices when the device is plugged in. Has anyone seen this before? New to USB & confused -mark -- Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending. - Bender ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
