Whoops!  I spoke a little too hastily.  I didn't notice that this device 
has a release number that's at the _lower_ end of the range selected by 
the unusual_devs.h entry.  Perhaps that indicates the protocol and 
subclass values in the entry are totally unnecessary and only the 
FIX_INQUIRY flag is needed.
