Could be. My most recent attempt to fix this is in http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=6315588 It sets the upper release limit to 0x9999 and removes everything but the FIX_INQUIRY flag. It seemed to work okay on Phil's device. Johannes and Phil, could you try the experiment of commenting out or removing the entire UNUSUAL_DEV entry for device 0x07cf in unusual_devs.h? It may turn out that it's not needed any more.
