Also there is another issue: after the disk worked just fine for over 9GB of traffic, the device disconnected from the bus after a few minutes idle time. I'll try to recreate that situation with ehci debugging turned on (stupid me had already turned it off after the disk had worked so fine for this one exception). It seemed the 811 was hung because only disconnecting the disk helped.
