Miguel and Benny, can you test and see if your E223 and F300 cameras fail to work under Linux 2.6 if the unusual_devs entries are removed? It seems quite likely that the entries for the 7 and the 7Hi aren't needed.
Uhh...
Just verified Dimage 7Hi - works regardless of the unusual_devs entry, with the only difference is the kernel warning about the entry upon plugging the camera into USB bus - it only appears with the entry in place... ;)
Looks like all 7x models are similar and are not needed anymore. And looks like other models like last 2 (F300, US_PR_BULK, and (?) E223, US_PR_DEVICE) are still needed, but I'd say this last one is unneded too... ;)
