Yes, I wrote a driver called usb-skeleton.c that is in the kernel source
tree.

Which does not refer to the name of the file I wrote.  Hence my
question:

Also, if you look in the kernel source tree, there are a number of
drivers that specifically refer to the fact that they were based on the
usb-skeleton.c driver.  So the answer to your question is, "yes".

Now if you would give a specific question as to any problems you are
having with the usb-skeleton.c driver, that would probably get you a
much better answer :)
