I think its dd. My initial setup was like on every other box, S0:12345:respawn:/sbin/agetty -L 9600 keyspan screen then connect with 'screen /dev/rm 9600'. I get no newlines that way: f178:~ # new mail in /var/mail/root.Last login: Thu Jul 8 19:07:41 from mandarine.suse.def178:~ # Doing that the other way round leads to the same results. hmm, that makes me wonder. The guy claimed the PL2303 behhaves normal with 2.4.
