I'm trying to work out sound and other problems in a new computer system. I
get the "no idea what's going on..." message in dmesg; here is a portion of
the dmesg output pertaining to usb:

There are further references later in the file and if anyone wishes, will post
the entire file or anything else needed to figure things out.

My setup:
        Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-8KNXP
        CPU: Intel P4 (2.8C)
        RAM: 1 GB
        Onboard sound disabled
PCI Soundcard: Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
Sound system on USB: Microsoft Digital Sound System 80
Debian Linux: "Testing"/Sarge with 2.6.7 kernel (updated daily)

Another interesting observation is that in using the gnome-volume-control the
PCI soundcard appears once, but the MSDSS80 controls appear twice. Is the
usb device being detected twice?

I'm sending this to the linux-usb-devel list as per instructions in the above
dmesg. I do not subscribe to this list, so any reply, please "cc:" me
directly. Thanks!

Don
