It actually looks like the hub crashes completely. When pluging a USB-mouse after a crash nothing happens at all. (At least nothing appears in dmesg). Also the program using the camera crashes and ends up in a defunct state meaning that the module cant be unloaded. One of these is > probably the cause. I have tried with 4 different cameras on two different VIA EPIA M10000 mainboards. They all have the same problem. I have also seen a similar problem with some other web-cameras. Then using one camera worked nicely, but when using two at the same time it crashed imediately. I do not have access to that hardware any more, so I can not check it now. That it is more unstable with two cameras is something I have observed also. With two cameras anything over two hours is unusual, but with one camera I have had it working for around twelve.
