The usb-storage debugging messages won't be much help here.  Your stack 
traces show things getting stuck at pretty much the same place as before, 
which isn't within usb-storage but lower down.

The problem could lie in a couple of different places, and it's impossible 
to tell which from the current information.  If you send me, offlist, a 
copy of your drivers/usb/core/message.c file, I'll send you a patch for it 
that will display some helpful diagnostic information.  It should at least 
indicate more closely where to look for the source of the problem.
