i used this udev rule for my iomega key (128Mo) :
BUS="usb", SYSFS{serial}="020283163800D225", NAME="cleusb%n"/dev/cleusb is always created, but /dev/cleusb1 is not (sometimes).
If I plug my key directly on my computer (not on the external hub) : it's always working.
