Sigh. That's the problem with writing patches against the bleeding-edge
development sources -- when you try to give them to other people they
won't apply properly.
I don't think there's any simple sequence of changes you can make to the
vanilla kernel to get it compatible with that patch, but maybe it will
apply against the latest -mm kernel. I wrote it against Greg KH's USB
development kernel:
bk://kernel.bkbits.net/gregkh/linux/gregkh-2.6
