I have borrowed his drive and have successfully transferred 58GB to it both with and without the Genesys patch. Thus, unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem experienced by my friend. I don't know if this is sufficient in order to create a patch to handle the LaCie case. I will return his drive and try to convince him to switch to a vanilla kernel (he's using a Fedora Core kernel now AFAIK) and, hopefully, if somebody here can hack one up for LaCie, I can try to get him to apply it. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: YOU BE THE JUDGE.
