Vojtech:

The hid_init_reports routine takes quite a while to timeout, and it's
holding the device lock the entire time -- thus blocking khubd,
/proc/bus/usb/devices, insmod, and who knows what else.

Can the routine be moved outside of hid_probe? Or refactored in some
other way so that there aren't long delays while holding the lock?
