Hello, the other problem I have is that lots of the PCMCIA cards I'm trying to insert and remove all the time ;-) have an Opti OHCI chip, which the kernel tells me is somewhat buggy. Our testing agrees.
I've found some bug workarounds in Apple's Darwin kernel. They look positively *hairy* to me. (Among other things, they add 27 EBs to every chain, and check whether the chip did anything with them it wasn't supposed to be doing.) Before I start hacking something that intrusive into the kernel: does anybody have errata documentation about that chip? Or already tried to do this? The customer is somewhat reluctant to replace 500 of these PCMCIA cards, esp. since there's no replacement available. :-/ -- Matthias Urlichs | {M:U} IT Design @ m-u-it.de | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
