ok, sorry for the confusion. That's not my primary interest, the coordinate data is. However I do think, if possible, it would be good to have a way to do hw-calibration via evdev, that's common to as many touchscreens as possible. But I can easily calibrate the 3M USB touchscreen via usbfs if I have to. >Sure.
